Essential Aero Inc

Sacramento, California
USA
Winner
2026
Finalist
Essential Aero automates airfield operations with autonomous vehicles. Its first solution, FOD-Bot (the “Roomba for Runways”), sweeps airport pavement to collect debris with higher reliability and consistency, cutting debris collection costs by an estimated 80%. Developed with the USAF, Essential Aero holds a patent on autonomous FOD collection.

Estare

Windsor, Ontario
Canada
2026
Finalist
Estare manufactures Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) automotive shipping racks that replace heavy steel alternatives with lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and high-strength composites. These racks deliver lower transportation costs, improved handling safety, and extended product life cycles, while meeting ISTA specifications for global shipping compliance and include SMART features RFID and GPS integration.

Grounded

Detroit, Michigan
USA
2026
Finalist
Grounded builds software-defined electric vans for mission-specific commercial fleets. They convert empty EV chassis from OEMs like GM, Ford, and Rivian into fully functional mobile workspaces using modular interior systems and a connected software platform (Grounded+) for power, HVAC, lighting, diagnostics, and remote fleet visibility.

Healant

Brussels
Belgium
Winner
2026
Finalist
Healant is a Belgian material science company pioneering self-healing polymer solutions to extend product lifetime, reduce waste, and enhance safety across industries. Our flagship innovation, HEALANT®, is a patented, Diels-Alder-based polymer layer applied inside tires to autonomously heal punctures and restore airtightness.

Hopper Mobility

Hamburg
Germany
2026
Finalist
Hopper Mobility enables sustainable, affordable individual mobility in urban environments. The Hopper vehicle combines the agility of a bicycle with the comfort and utility of a car, allowing users to move through city traffic quickly and reliably. It features a weather-protective roof, seating for one adult or two children, and a modular trunk that handles a week’s worth of groceries. Pedal-powered with electric assist and roof-mounted solar panels for efficiency.

Neumo

Detroit, Michigan
USA
Winner
2026
Finalist
Neumo develops neuro-adaptive systems that monitor cognitive load and fatigue in operators of vehicles and machinery. Their technology enhances safety by detecting risk states in real time and enabling interventions that reduce accidents in transportation, logistics, and industrial environments.

Point Zero

Torino
Italy
2026
Finalist
Point Zero is a startup and a spin-off from the Politecnico di Torino, primarily focused on the research and development of zero-emission braking systems for the automotive industry. Our core mission is to tackle the environmental impact of vehicles by eliminating secondary particulate emissions produced by traditional friction brakes, contributing to cleaner mobility and enhanced vehicle safety.

Transit Rewards

Windsor, Ontario
Canada
2026
Finalist
Transit Rewards incentivizes public transit use through a digital rewards platform. Riders earn points and benefits for choosing sustainable transportation, while transit agencies gain actionable insights into rider behavior, increased engagement, and tools to encourage mode shift away from single-occupancy vehicles.

ZILA BioWorks

Renton, Washington
USA
Winner
2026
Finalist
ZILA is transforming hard-tech manufacturing with cleaner, greener chemistry. By decoupling epoxy resin production from fossil feedstocks, ZILA addresses major sources of greenhouse gas emissions and persistent manufacturing waste. Its patented bio-epoxy resin platform reduces the carbon footprint of durable goods without sacrificing performance. Built-in vitrimer chemistry enables recyclability at end of life for composite applications.

Fusion Dynamics

Oxford
UK
2026
Semifinalist
Fusion Dynamics designs scalable plasma actuator technology for flow control applications. Their systems improve aerodynamic efficiency, reduce drag, and enhance performance across mobility and industrial use cases, supporting energy savings and advanced vehicle design.

Mearas

New York, New York
USA
2026
Semifinalist
Mearas designs defense-grade, software-defined electric ground vehicles built for rugged, contested environments. Its modular, drive-by-wire platform enables silent operation, teleoperation-driven force multiplication, exportable power, and rapid field repair. Unlike gas ATVs or consumer EVs, Mearas vehicles are engineered for “Defense-Forged” survivability and open-architecture autonomy integration.

Paverly

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
USA
2026
Semifinalist
Paverly develops TraceQ™, a novel motion sensor for automotive platforms that directly measures vehicle movement relative to the road surface. Using Doppler-based sensing, TraceQ™ provides a stable, drift-free reference that maintains localization accuracy when GNSS, vision, or inertial sensors degrade in tunnels, urban environments, or adverse conditions.

Pixii Motors

Paris
France
2026
Semifinalist
Pixii Motors is revolutionizing urban mobility with intelligent electric scooters and a full ecosystem. Its flagship SHADOW adds advanced safety features, adaptive power delivery, and a smart cockpit that doesn’t rely on a smartphone. AI optimizes performance by rider behavior and conditions, supported by subscriptions and rapid battery-swap stations.

SYNTEZA AI

London
UK
2026
Semifinalist
SYNTEZA AI enables zero-shot learning with scalable, multi-sensor synthetic data—built for real-world robotics, not just image realism. We specialise in synthetic data generation and computer vision solutions that empower developers to build and validate intelligent systems for a wide range of applications, including drones, robotics, IoT, and self-driving cars. Our innovative approach unlocks new possibilities in AI by delivering data with unparalleled quality, speed, and accuracy.

Wagoi

Hasselt
Belgium
2026
Semifinalist
WAGOI is the first consumer vehicle data wallet that enables drivers to access, control, and monetise their live car data,  legally and instantly. Today, 96% of cars are connected, 84% of OEMs collect and sell personal vehicle data, yet drivers receive neither visibility nor compensation. From September 2025, the EU Data Act forces car manufacturers to provide data access to drivers or face €20M fines. There is no existing infrastructure to comply. WAGOI fills that gap.
